CHATSWORTH, Calif. - In today’s crowded Adult market, finding a new niche for which to create videos can be as difficult as finding an untapped gold mine — and just as lucrative. 
 
Smash Pictures feels that they’ve hit a bonanza with their Cameltoe Perversions series, a line that caters to men and women who are fascinated with the visible, V-shaped impression of labias known as cameltoes, so named because the shape is said to resemble a camel’s toe.

“We were doing searches for fetishes and perversions on Google that weren’t being touched and cameltoe turned up,” Stuart Wall, general manager of Smash Pictures, told AVN.com.

The initial volume of the series was released in May, meaning five months passed until the release of Cameltoe Perversions #2, already in stores. “We wanted take out time when trying out new concepts — but looking at the numbers for the first one, and what we’ve already done with this one, we’re very confident in this series,” Wall said.

Cameltoes are especially prominent when tight clothes are worn, a fact that didn’t escape Dick, the mono-named director who shot Cameltoe Perversions #2. Each scene in the video begins with close-ups of a cameltoe hugged tightly by shorts and panties.

Picking a micro-niche creates easy marketing opportunities. Smash was able to spread the word about their cameltoe series by notifying Web-based communities like Cameltoe.com, a site dedicated to cameltoes that was sent a preview copy of the debut volume of the series. 

“They plugged the hell out of it. They really loved our first video and they’re going to love this one as well,” Wall said. “These guys worship cameltoe. If we made them happy — and we did — you know we’re doing something right with it.”

Not that you need to be a full-fledged cameltoe devotee to enjoy the series. After the intro to each scene, there’s still the hardcore sex that Smash is known for.

XRCO Starlet of the Year Lauren Phoenix presents her own cameltoe on the box cover of Cameltoe Perversions #2, as well as the video. Other performers in the video include Jezebel Bond, Nikki Loren, Marie Luv and Avena Lee.

Cameltoe Perversions #2 is now in stores.

HOLLYWOOD, CA - Smash Pictures has just completed one of their most successful weeks ever with their European producer IFG picking up prestigious Ninfa Awards win at the 12th annual Erotic Film Festival in Barcelona, along with ecstatic contest winners in New Jersey and a packed porn party in Hollywood.
International Film Group of Spain along with its US distributor Smash Pictures, recently held a contest to see which American distributor could sell the most pieces of the award winning ‘Hot Rats’, which has already won numerous awards in Europe before being released just last week in the US.

The winning distributor was New Jersey based IVD, where two lucky stiffs have just returned from a fantastic all expenses paid trip to Spain where they enjoyed first class accommodations, roundtrip flights, luxury hotel, access to the film festival, tickets to the awards show and a star studded luncheon with world famous porn stars.

The timing couldn’t have been better for Smash Pictures because their upcoming title ‘Crazy Bullets’ from IFG won the award for Best DVD. This comes on the heels of ‘Hot Rats’ which had previously won a ton of awards in Barcelona and is now available in the US.

“This is really a great week for Smash Pictures and for IFG”, stated Stuart Wall, VP of Smash Pictures who just enjoyed a very successful sponsorship of one of the most successful Hollywood porn parties thrown in quite some time as well as winning Ninfa Awards for their titles.

The party also known as the ‘Heidi Fleiss party’, as well as ‘Hot Rats’ and the upcoming ‘Crazy Bullets’ allowed Smash Pictures to be front and center with world-wide press coming out in droves to cover the party and the awards.

“With the major success of Hot Rats overseas we look forward to Smash Pictures moving tons of units in the US”, stated Josie Snyder of Angel Pictures which handles all broadcasting deals for IFG.

The lucky contest winners have barely had enough time to catch their breath after flying to Europe and living it up courtesy of IFG and Smash Pictures.

WOW! HUGE PORN PARTY THAT ALMOST WASN’T PLEASES SPONSORS

HOLLYWOOD, CA - ‘The Mother Fucker of All Porn Parties’ organized by All Media Play and Intoxicate U almost didn’t happen but finally took place at the Highlands Nightclub in Hollywood Friday night after a last hour decision forced a location move for the second time in as many days.

Nearly 100 porn stars and 800 guests partied LA style in the nightclub that sits perched atop the Highlands Entertainment Complex offering spectacular city views.
Guest party hosts Shane, Charmane Star, Alana Evans, Cytheria, Nyomi Marcella, Mr. Marcus and Bishop began arriving around 10PM and were quickly ushered to a rooftop veranda for publicity photos in front of a giant mural containing the logos of sponsoring companies.

Smash Pictures, Sex Z Pictures, Phoenix Releasing were joined by KSEX, Oriental Dream Pictures, Wanted List, X-Play, All Media Play and Intoxicate U as party sponsors providing the perfect backdrop to a star studded evening.

Shane, looking gorgeous, was there to promote her new series ‘Shane.TV’ from Phoenix Releasing. “I’m having a great time tonight” she announced while mingling with industry types.

Bishop, promoting his Smash Pictures debut series ‘Blind Sex Dates’ partied the night away with Adam Glasser AKA Seymour Butts of ‘Family Business’ fame as a Showtime television crew taped their every move.

The event referred to as the ‘Heidi Fleiss party’ started on time and drew a sensational crowd. “Our plans were totally scrapped once we learned that we couldn’t have the party at either of our original locations”, stated Jeff Mullen, president of All Media Play which dealt with intense local issues. “I think we proved that as an industry we can have fun and also follow the letter of the law.”

“We’re sitting here at 5PM with a thousand RSVPs, no place to throw the party and pressure like you wouldn’t believe,” added Scott David, VP of All Media Play, which also owns production label X-Play.

The last-second change seemed to have no major negative impact on attendance as word spread quickly enough to bring hordes of porn stars, directors, players and fans down on the Highlands for a night that will not soon be forgotten.

Among those spotted in the crowd were Devon, Teagan, Kari Sable, Inari Vachs, Mariposa, Stacy Valentine, Kaylani Lei, Lilly Thai, Haley Paige, Nicole Brazzle, Kim Chambers, Avy Lee Roth, Takota, Tiana Lynn, Isobel, Jazmine, Kami Andrews, Marie Luv, Roxy, Gia Jordan, Michelle B., Veronica Jett, Missy Monroe, Dawn Kelly, Summer Lynn, Naudia Sin, Brandy Nichole, Seymour Butts, Nick Manning, Craven Moorehead, Bryan Pumper, Manual Ferrara, Brett Rockman, Mr. Pete, Joey Ray, Dale Dabone, Kurt Lockwood, Steve Holmes, Tommy Gunn and many others.

Heidi Fleiss, promoting her debut XXX movie ‘Secrets of the Hollywood Madam’ just out from Phoenix Releasing was rumored to have made a quiet 1:20AM appearance but declined to go into the VIP area. She apparently exited almost as quickly as she entered.

Bo Kenney whose Sex Z Pictures celebrated its first year in business by co-sponsoring the party was amazed that it took place at all. “I love a good party as much as anyone so I’m glad that it went on considering the location changes and that everybody had such a good time.”

All Media Play is now two for two in throwing huge, successful and fun porn star party events this year.

“Our goal was for everybody to have fun and for our corporate sponsors to get some valuable exposure. Both happened as this place was packed with cute girls and marquee branding was everywhere,” stated Scott David, of All Media Play.

The media room was buzzing with activity all night including mainstream, adult and foreign press.

“I had so much fun tonight,” stated the very beautiful Nyomi Marcella who is one of the classiest of all adult actresses as she totally enjoyed seeing friends and industry movers and shakers.

Smash Pictures VP Stuart Wall standing next to Nyomi in the media room echoed that sentiment as he announced “Nyomi is beautiful and this is a great party. It seems like almost everybody is here.”
