Smash Pictures Is A Hit In The UK
United Kingdom - Nice ‘N’ Naughty is hot for Smash Pictures! The retail giant has created large marketing displays and will feature them in many of its outlets.
“With the support from Nice ‘N’ Naughty in promoting our studio’s name, I’ve received phone calls from Italy to France to Scandinavia to Turkey to carry our product now,” announced Smash Pictures VP Stuart Wall. “We’ve also struck new UK VOD deals with the UK giants, Strictly Broadband.”
“It’s very hard to crack into the UK market due to their R18 laws,” said Wall. “Your movie has to get approved with this stamp to be carried in a UK based store. The only 3 US studios rep’d by Nice ‘N’ Naughty are Smash Pictures, Vouyer Media and Wicked Pictures.”
The Smash series, Cheating Housewives, has also picked up an award nomination at the ETO Awards show being held in Birmingham. “This will be my first visit to the UK, and I can’t wait to experience an award show over there,” said Wall. “The response to our Cheating Housewives series, as well as our other titles, has been terrific. It’s all about name branding. Doors are opening up worldwide for us now.”
